The series starred such luminaries as James Dean, Paul Newman, Rod Steiger, John Cassevetes, and Lorne Greene. Not able to officially work on the programme, they submitted their scripts through 'fronts'. (This volume re-establishes screen credit for ten of Polonsky's episodes.)
