Eighty-five years later, fourteen members of the club have once again collaborated to produce The Sinking Admiral. 'The Admiral' is a pub on the Suffolk Coast. It is also the nickname of its landlord, Geoffrey Horatio Fitzsimmons, and of his dinghy. None of them are as buoyant as the should be, for the landlord is in debt, his boat is waterlogged and the pub is threatened with closure. When Fitzsimmons is found dead in his tethered boat with a suicide note, an ambitious reality TV presenter is convinced that the story could save his career and teams up with the barmaid to find a murderer.
