Book excerpt: This book explores the meaning of obedience based on the biblical teaching from the book of Hebrews that Jesus Christ as the Son has to learn obedience from his suffering. The author delves into the various issues surrounding the nature of obedience, and weaves them into a discourse on the efficient cause of the sin of the first parents. He draws them together into an assertion; that the fall of the first parents in the Garden of Eden is not a possible outcome, it is an inevitable outcome. Dr. Man Kei Ho holds a Ph.D. from University of Wales in theology and has served as visiting lecturer at seminaries and universities in Hong Kong, Philippines, and China. Currently, he is teaching theology at the Chinese School of Theology at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. Prior to his theological training, he spent over 20 years working as an engineer in high tech industries. He is a registered professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
