This book was the culmination of over 10 years of dedicated effort. As a graduate student, I undertook a research project titled "Data Analysis of Japanese Literature" using statistical methods. In these works, I am aiming to create a fusion of arts and sciences. In other words, I want to integrate literature with science. This book includes new approaches to Tawara Machi, Tanikawa Shuntaro, and Basho's linked verse, using statistical methods.
