Book excerpt: Mariah's Miracle is about a young girl and her relationship with God. It tells about her journey with her parents growing as a family toward God, and sharing that relationship with others. The story takes place in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. You can share in the fishing, camping, and hiking adventures of Mariah and her family and friends. She lives in a small town named Simplicity where the people born into this special place have wings. Their wings show the broken times in their lives by chips and dents that outwardly show on their wings. The story points out that we have to be aware that each person in our world has a story and unlike in Simplicity we cannot always tell how many times they have been broken. Mariah reaches out in friendship to welcome Ryan, a new friend that has just gone through the divorce of his parents. She tells him about God and takes him on a hike up to the mountain to introduce him to Whisper (The Holy Spirit) and share with him how the Bible and a relationship with God can bring us through the most difficult of times. It is the story of how one person reaching out in friendship and sharing God's love can change a life forever. There are special times of sharing cookies and peanut butter sandwiches and just spending some nice quiet afternoons hanging out together! The next adventure Mariah and Ryan meet a new friend Abby. She has recently moved to Simplicity to spend a year or so with her grandmother because both of her parents have been deployed. I hope you can come join the adventure as Mariah and Ryan meet Abby in "Abby's Deployment."
