After wintering over in Santa Fe, in the New Mexico Territory, the family moves to the small mountainous mining town of Silver City which was in the southwest part of the territory. The story also entails the Christian community who work together to care for the sick, hungry and homeless people in the town, and their everyday lives as they face the dangers within the mining town. I was born in a small town in Southern California. When I was fifty years old, my family moved to New Mexico; first into the desert, and then to the mountainous mining town of Silver City. Now, living in the old west of the cowboy era, I became fascinated with the history of the area. From that, I began to form a story in my mind, about an Irish family that came west, arriving in 1875. I am now eighty-three years young, and have thoroughly enjoyed my adventure in writing this novel; "Love Comes in Many Colors".
