He married Catharine Blakeman, daughter of Asahel and Mary Rockefeller Blakeman (1809-1900). They had eight children, all born in Columbia County, New York. The family moved to DuPage County, Illinois, in 1848. He died 19 Oct. 1891 at Cass, CuPage Co., Illinois. Descendants lived in Illinois, California, Nebraska, Iowa, Florida and elsewhere.
