The Hmong worldview, practices, and traditions often times clash with core biblical truths. As a result, Hmong Christian leaders are in a state of struggle between their ethnicity and their Christian faith. Hence, the purpose of this thesis is to study the contextualization of the gospel within Hmong Christian churches in the Twin Cities. The goal is to discover which cultural aspects are still practiced by Hmong Christian leaders, and whether or not they align with core biblical truths. Local Hmong Christian pastors were interviewed using a set of research questions in order to extract the interaction between Hmong religion and culture and the Christian faith. This thesis was to test the hypothesis that Hmong Christian leaders can contextualize the gospel and practice some aspects of tradition Hmong culture."--leaf 5.
