Book excerpt: The Digital Pulpit The COVID-19 global pandemic has forever changed the world and impacted the Church in significant ways as well. In The Digital Pulpit, Nolan W. McCants presents recent historical perspectives, notes some observations and offers some suggestions on how the Church might navigate this period. While some churches were prepared better than others, most every ministry has had to shift from the familiarity of physical spaces, to the unknowns of the digital world. This has challenged the church to consider the way ministry is executed, specifically, how technology is employed, while maintaining the integrity of biblical patterns. As this pivot has been made, many churches world wide, are seeing unprecedented spiritual growth in these virtual spaces. There appears to be an accountability shift, where people are taking greater responsibility for their own spiritual development. It's a good time for the Church to reflect and reassess her impact and how this forced immersion might be leading us to a place of needed reformation.
