Excerpt from the book: A few weeks after that, another strange incident occurred. Kokoro was kneeling with her eyes closed at a seat right in front of the altar. After a while, she somehow thought that it was getting bright around her, and she opened her eyes. There, right in front of her, stood the Baby Jesus, carrying a cross on his back! It was the Jesus painted in the painting of The Annunciation, which was hung on the right side of the church. Jesus spoke to Kokoro, who stared at him, her eyes opened wide. "Kokoro, take this cross off my back, because it's heavy." "O.K. I'll take it off for you." She helped the Infant Jesus take the cross off his back without hesitation.
