The women are Sarah (Genesis); Hannah (I Samuel); Deborah (Judges); Esther (Esther); the woman with the issue of blood (Luke); and the Samaritan woman (John). Each devotion is preceded by a litany of promise as we seek divine examples for our lives. As women of God, we all have a sincere desire to follow his plan. The challenge comes in discerning the time and always trying to figure out exactly what we should be doing. It may be that as women, since we have so many demands on our time, it is hard to hit the “pause” button in our lives and listen to the small but powerful voice speaking within our souls.
