It tells the story of a little Amerindian girl named Tacumeh, the daughter of the village chief and how she escapes death when the pitch lake was formed. Tacumeh and her brother, Hisran, live with their father, the village chief and their mother in the lush green fields of La Brea. Their lives are idyllic and enjoyable until one day the villagers got their god angry because of a terrible act and life changed drastically for Tacumeh
