Two of them e%ecially, Shark and Rook, are men of as liberal and gentlemanlike appearance as I ever was acquainted with; and M'Shuffle, though not quite so genteel and polite, has a blunt honesty about him, which makes it ridiculous as well as unjust to suspect him of any villainy. Besides, Rook's estate lies con. tiguoys. tiguous to mine, and he is very well acquainted with.the whole neighbourhood. Know.
