Book excerpt: In England, there was a wealthy young Englishman, who was sent to the most prestigious schools. Upon graduation, his parents expected him to become a politician, like his father, but he had other ideas. He wanted to go to America, find a job and see what life was like for the average person. In New Jersey, there was a young woman who started working at a young age to help support her family. Her parents loved and nurtured her and her brother; they brought up their children to respect other people and live up to their high moral standards. The young Englishman followed his dream and went to the United States. He worked in many jobs, taking anything that would keep putting food on his table. He was challenged by his new lifestyle. Not long afterwards, he met the woman from New Jersey. This story is about their lives: their love, their happiness, their sorrow and their laughter.
