This would seem a forgone conclusion where effective clinical practice is based on the best possible, rigorously tested evidence. Infection of the feet in patients with diabetes is a common and potentially devastating complication of the disease. The impacts of negative pressure wound treatment ([NPWT], V.A.C.' Therapy, KCI, San Antonio, Tex) were contrasted and standard dressings in 45 patients with diabetic foot ulcers who were admitted to the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Medical Park Hospital, Bursa, Turkey. Twenty-four patients were arbitrarily divided into 2 gatherings NPWT gathering and control group. At first, the mean surface range of wounds in the NPWT gathering was 109 cm2, the control aggregate 94.8 cm2. The mean length of time of open wound forethought was 11.25 days in the NPWT collection and 15.75 days in the control cluster (P =0.05). After wound supervision, mean surface range of the diabetic wounds was 88.6 cm2 in the NPWT bunch, and 85.3 cm2 in the control bunch (P
